As the title of this blog might suggest, I am an Anglican occupying a position lying somewhere between the evangelical and anglo catholic ends of the spectrum; although closer to the latter than the former. I am writing this about me page before even posting my first blog, but as this blog develops it will doubtless become clear that in most respects (though not all), I am a theological liberal. I am happy with the Church of England’s decision to ordain women, and, unlike many evangelicals living in America, I have no difficulty accepting the theory of evolution. It has to be said, though, that in this country the great majority of christians have no difficulty with evolution.

I live in a rural area of Britain, surrounded by pictureque hills. During the summer I am not infrequently up there amongst them with my camera; weather permitting.
